Sam Gotts died at The Grove, off Overstrand Road in Cromer, on Friday, December 13 last year.

An inquest into his death heard that the 35-year-old was discovered in the swimming pool lobby by a performer who was hosting a comedy night at the hotel.

In a statement to Norfolk Coroner's Court, Judith Barrass said she had intended to go for a morning swim after staying at the hotel ahead of her performance, but found Mr Gotts unresponsive inside.
