GP surgery urged to do more to learn from deaths after cancer delays

Derek Cole died in July last year of an aggressive form of prostate cancer. He was 81 years old.

An inquest into his death heard that he had been undergoing tests prior to his death, with Attleborough GP surgery and the urology team of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital both involved in his care.

He had correctly been referred to urology in November 2023 and in December of that year underwent a bone scan, the results of which were described as........
