The speed restriction signs on Telegraph Lane East, in Thorpe Hamlet, had shown a 30mph limit despite changes implemented earlier this year by Norfolk County Council to make the area a 20mph zone.

Jane Overhill, community activist for the Labour party, raised the issue with the council towards the end of March after a neighbour contacted her saying the signs were confusing.
