Ucheena Okirie, who was also known as Uche, was an international student ambassador to Nigeria during his time at the University of East Anglia's School of International Development.

Omade Enyi, who arrived in Norwich for her studies in 2022, said 33-year-old Mr Okirie "made sure I settled in to Norwich and he kept in touch".

She said: "He bought my first groceries here when I said that I didn't know how to go about getting food."

She added: "Hearing about his demise broke me entirely because such a nice man doesn't deserve such cruelty.........
