Sprowston Town Council has been pushing for the skatepark to be built at the housing estate near White House Farm off Blue Boar Lane for more than 10 years.

Now, the council says Persimmon Homes - the firm behind the development - has started initial work to "remediate land" near the garden centre in Sprowston where the skatepark will go.

The developer is then expected to plant grass seeds in mid-October at the same........
