Plea for city club celebrating its 70th anniversary to keep going

Easton Good Companions, on the north-west edge of the city, has been a place for over 55s to socialise since 1955.

But the club could be celebrating its last anniversary if it does not find successors for key roles to keep it going.

For 70 years, the club, which is made up of 25 members, has organised meet-ups at the Easton Village Hall where members can enjoy lunch and a chat.

But committee leaders are looking for their next successors to keep the group going and fear it will close at the end of the year if the roles are not........
