Ashley Best-White, executive headteacher at Old Catton Junior School, says her school was "never consulted" by Old Catton Parish Council as part of its plan to permanently remove access from the school gate to a neighbouring driveway off Church Street.

The parish council removed the access out of "pedestrian safety", adding that it "has been in discussion with the school throughout the process and the school has subsequently confirmed that it considers the matter closed".

But the decision sparked upset among parents, including a Norfolk County Councillor, who say children are now at greater risk since they have to navigate narrow........
