The place to be! Opening date revealed for town's new library
On May 6 this year, Great Yarmouth's new library will open on at The Place, the former Palmers department store.
Ahead of that date, the existing service on Tolhouse Street will close on Friday, March 14.
Bookworms need not worry, though. Any items that have been borrowed from the library will be extended until the new branch opens and regular groups will be run from alternative venues in the town.
The registry office, meanwhile, will be temporarily moving to Gorleston Library to continue providing its services.
