Walid Saadaoui, 38, a Tunisian national, is alleged to have intended to cause “untold harm” and kill as many Jewish people as possible in a gun attack.

He denies preparing acts of terrorism between December 2023 and May 2024.

Saadaoui, a married father-of-two, bought The Albatross, an Italian restaurant on Regent Road, in 2018 with the help of a bank loan.

It is alleged he used the proceeds to fund a terror attack.

The Albatross has been closed for more than four years. During that time, the building appears untouched. Its menu still hangs beside the door, advertising pizza margherita, lasagne al forno and spaghetti........
