In the winter of 2023, it was all doom and gloom at the White Horse, a pub in the village of Upton, near Acle.

The venue, which has been run by the community since 2012, was losing thousands of pounds every month and there were fears for its future.

But just over 12 months later, in a turnaround not even its bosses saw coming, the pub has won the Broadland Pub of the Year at the 2025 Broadland and South Norfolk........
