Family Amusements, which operates the arcade on Wellington Pier, is seeking permission to extend the building to create a new "family entertainment centre".

Planning officers at Great Yarmouth Borough Council have recommended councillors approve the scheme when it goes before the development management committee on Wednesday, June 4.

Historic England has warned, however, that the proposed building would be “a large, utilitarian addition” to the seafront.........
