Britannia Pier, on Great Yarmouth's Marine Parade, has been granted planning permission to build an external raised decking area and change the use of land north of Pier Tavern to use as a new beer garden.

It is the latest stage in the massive transformation taking place on the pier that has already seen its owners open a new indoor entertainment centre and sports bar.
