New town centre statue will honour one of Great Yarmouth's 'true gentlemen'
The artwork will show Ernie Childs, late artist and life-long resident of the town, standing by a herring barrel.
It will be located at the southwest corner of the Market Place, close to King Street.
The sculpture is being made by artist Mark Goldsworthy and will be called Yarn with Ernie.
