Workers are installing the updated signage on Britannia Pier on Marine Parade this week, replacing the old letters that were taken down before Christmas last year.

The work is part of a £1.8m renovation project which is nearing completion and includes a new indoor entertainment centre which the owners hope will turn the seasonal hotspot into a year-round venue.

The letters of the new sign are lit up at night, shining bright white - a condition of planning permission which stipulated the signage could not be coloured.
