Musician's epic organ marathon to last TEN hours
But for one Norfolk musician, it means almost half a day at the organ, a stack of hymn sheets and a well-timed sandwich.
Matthew Hardy, organist at St Peter’s Church in Gorleston, will play the church’s organ for 10 hours straight on Thursday, April 10, all in a bid to raise funds for much-needed repairs.
The instrument, installed in 1995, is reaching the end of its life and needs a £40,000 rebuild to keep the music playing for future generations.
