The major collection includes correspondence, funeral cards, medals and swords - all with a combined value of around £35,000.

The sale takes place on Thursday, November 27, at Spink and Son auction house in London.

The collection comes from the estate of an American, Randy Mafit, a naval veteran who developed a passion for British naval history and Nelson in particular.
