Council throws its weight behind plans to remodel village pub and build houses

Stody with Hunworth Parish Council has voted unanimously to support Stody Estate's revised plans for the Hunworth Bell, near Holt, which closed in May 2024.

The original plans - which would have shrunk the size of the pub and built 10 houses on the site - had faced objections from locals and the parish council.

Since then, Stody Estate has revised its application, reducing the number of houses to six, all of which will be built on the neighbouring farmyard.
