Council reveals £735,000 plans for new walking and cycling routes in coastal town
Norfolk County Council is seeking feedback on a £735,000 project aimed at making travel safer around East Norfolk Sixth Form College in Gorleston.
The proposals include a wide shared-use pavement along the college side of Church Lane, two new zebra crossings and a parallel crossing at the northern end of Middleton Road.
Councillor Graham Plant, cabinet member for highways, infrastructure and transport, and a local ward councillor, said: “Local students have campaigned for these improvements and we have worked with the college and borough council to develop proposals which will provide a safer environment........
