An Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system has been installed in the car park outside Folly Tree House on the Street in Acle, after months of complaints about commuters filling spaces intended for shoppers.

The decision comes after Acle Parish Council and nearby businesses raised concerns about parking abuse that saw vehicles parked from early morning until late afternoon, leaving few spaces for customers using the convenience store, café and flooring shop.
