'Fabulous celebration' to mark official opening of new £17m venue in Great Yarmouth
The Place, a £17 million redevelopment of the historic former Palmers department store in the town’s Market Place, will be officially opened on Tuesday, May 13.
The opening day will include speeches, displays and guided tours of the landmark five-storey building, as well as a series of taster sessions and exhibitions throughout the week.
Lady Dannatt MBE, the Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk, will formally open the building at a special event attended by more than 100 invited guests. The public will be welcomed in from 11.30am.
