New homes earn council £1m...but critics question houses being built

Council leaders welcomed the boost to the authority's coffers from the success of Repton Property Developments, but critics continue to have concerns about the way the company operates.

Repton was set up in 2017 so council-owned land and buildings could be developed for housing, generating financial returns to ease pressures on the council's finances.

The council has worked with developers to get homes built in places such as St Edmund's Park in Acle, The Old School Yard in Hunstanton, Burton Cove in Caister-on-Sea, Bowlers Green in Hopton-on-Sea and Saxon Heath in Attleborough.
