New £50k job created by Norfolk council amid surge in applications for major schemes
Norfolk County Council is recruiting for an officer specifically to handle the authority's response to what are known as Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects.

They are currently 15 such projects, either in Norfolk or which would have an impact on the county, including three huge solar farms, offshore wind farms and plans for pylons to carry the energy from those schemes.
Those projects do not follow the usual planning process, with planning inspectors considering their merits at public inquiries and then making a recommendation to the secretary of state for a final decision.
