Locals not impressed by design of their £15m new '1970s-style' library

The new library in King's Lynn is taking shape in a new building within the former Argos store in the town's Vancouver Quarter - and is due to open in 2026.

But leaders at Norfolk County Council have been forced to defend the look of the building - which will house the library, adult learning facilities and meeting rooms - in the wake of "less than flattering" comments.
