Inspector assessing huge solar farm bid calls for string of points to be addressed

Public hearings over proposals for the Droves Solar Farm - which would see solar panels installed on 2,800 acres of fields - between Castle Acre and Swaffham, started this month.

Planning inspector Anthony Johnson has been hearing representations and evidence about the proposal by Island Green Power, which has met strong opposition.

The developers say the scheme, which includes a battery energy storage system to store surplus energy, will generate up to 500 megawatts of electricity, enough to power around 115,000 homes a........
