The bridge and the road, near Norwich City Football Club's Carrow Road ground, shut last night (Thursday, August 7) and will be closed again from 7pm tonight (Friday, August 8).

The closure of the 102-year-old structure is so Norfolk County Council can make repairs to the timber decking.

An inspection had established repairs were needed because of defects in the bridge's timber.

The bridge is due to reopen at 5am tomorrow (Saturday, August 9), so Carrow Road will be open again in........
