County Hall could be turned into concert hall

Steve Morphew, leader of the Labour group at County Hall and a former Norwich City Council leader, is calling for the building to be converted into a huge concert arena or a conference centre.

Norfolk County Council, along with the county's seven district councils, is being abolished as part of the biggest shake-up in local government in 50 years.

It could mean the building is no longer needed, with the replacement councils using other sites.

The shake-up will also see an elected mayor created for Norfolk and Suffolk and Mr Morphew said their multi-million-pound investment fund could help........
