'Historic day' as Norfolk's new £47m bypass opens to traffic
Drivers are now able to travel on the £47m bypass, but construction on junctions to join it to the existing A140 is continuing.

Cars started using the new 2.4-mile road today (August 11) after weekend closures of the A140 for work on the connecting roads.

The Hall Lane road bridge is also now set to come into use from the end of this week subject to successful completion of final surfacing works.
All through traffic is now able to travel along the full length of the bypass in both directions.
