What can you do when you feel the need to complain?
Often this happens when we believe we’ve been harshly treated, or when our efforts have gone unrecognised.
We also tend to feel that way when international corporations don’t appear to listen to us and we’re forced to the conclusion that our loyalty, far from being valued, has been ignored and we’re being ripped off.
We are encouraged to have direct debits for everything, but often these days when a subscription or invoice is due, we receive a message saying the cost is going up and that the new amount will be deducted automatically.
No wonder we often feel the odds are stacked against us. But should we take up the gauntlet and query what they are doing, or try to alter it?
Most of us don’t want to make a fuss. Often in old films or TV series there were grumpy, querulous characters who prefaced their streams of criticism with the words “I’m not one to complain”.
They were comically pathetic and I’m sure many of us vowed never to be like them. But you know, sometimes, I think we should complain rather than feel impotent and ignored.
