Project handover marks a 'new chapter' for curlew and corncrake conservation
During the last 19 years, the Pensthorpe Conservation Trust (PCT) has played a vital role in the recovery of flagship bird species - including corncrakes and curlews through specialist captive breeding, "headstarting" and habitat restoration efforts.
Now both programmes have been transferred to the newly-formed Deepdale Conservation Trust, based a few miles away in Burnham Deepdale, whose mission is to continue the protection of endangered native species.
