Poultry culled as suspected bird flu infection found at farm near Loddon
Defra says a highly pathogenic strain of avian influenza was suspected in commercial poultry, prompting a decision "to pre-emptively cull the birds based on the clinical signs, post mortem findings and rapidly increasing mortality".
All affected poultry on the premises will be humanely culled, and a 3km temporary control zone and a 10km temporary control zone have been put in place.
