The government's decision to scrap inheritance tax relief for farms with assets valued over £1m provoked widespread industry anger and sparked the launch of the "EDP's Fair deal for farmers" campaign.

Industry leaders say this will leave countless family farms with crippling tax bills when land is handed down to the next generation.

Farmers across the country are gearing up for a unified day of action on Saturday, to thank the public for their support and illustrate the strength of opposition to the policy - including bringing tractors into some supermarket car parks in market towns across Norfolk.
