Breckland farmer Tim Young has been appointed to lead G's Growers, an independent producer organisation (PO) with 15 members who work together to share knowledge and take advantage of economies of scale to negotiate maximum market value for their produce.

His first challenge is the end of the Fruit and Vegetable Aid Scheme - an EU legacy fund providing £40m in annual matched funding to support investment in technology, environmental improvements, research and innovation projects, and training.
