Bluetongue restrictions eased as livestock disease risk falls
The potentially-fatal animal virus, which is spread by infected biting midges, affects ruminants including cattle, sheep, goats and deer.
Almost 200 cases have been confirmed across the country after an infected sheep found near the Broads village of Haddiscoe became this season's first case on August 26.
It prompted the creation of a Restricted Zone (RZ), which has since expanded to cover most of the eastern half of England, stretching from Yorkshire to the south coast.
