Destiny Devereux, 12, was struck by a blue Dacia Duster on the B1106 Lynn Road at Weeting, near Brandon, on Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened a few minutes from her home in the close-knit village, while she was out with friends.

Her uncle Robbie Byrne said on a Gofundme page to raise money for her funeral: "To all that knew her, Destiny was an absolutely beautiful young lady.

"She was polite, funny and outgoing with a mind of her own. (Some would say 12 going on 21.) She loved her pets and liked nothing more than to make TikTok videos with her friends.

"She touched the hearts of not just family but also her friends and these words will never be able to describe just how much she was loved and will be missed by all."
