Seaside town's cycle paramedics could be withdrawn over the winter
The East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) has confirmed a review is under way of its frontline operations.
It includes staff who ride to the assistance of emergency patients in Wells-next-the-Sea and its surrounding villages, who had previously faced the longest waits in the country for an ambulance to arrive.

Kyle Hampshire-Smith, EEAST’s head of clinical operations for Norfolk and Waveney, said: "Cycle response units are a valuable resource, particularly during peak periods of demand such as the summer or during special events, when they allow us to reach patients in areas that are harder for an ambulance to get to.
