Now repairs are planned for the historic Gayton Windmill near King's Lynn.

The building is now owned by care provider Achieve Together, which uses it as accommodation for people with mental health issues.

It has applied for planning permission to fix a crack and renew tarring on the structure's early-19th century tower, which stretches to seven stories and originally boasted a cap and fantail which have long since been taken down.

It also hopes to re-roof cottages and outbuildings attached to the Grade II........
