Villagers are objecting to plans for six new homes on land at Cley, near Holt, despite developer Alice Atkinson's claims they will be for first time buyers.

One posted on North Norfolk council's planning portal: "We understand there has been no direction or mechanism put in place with estate agents to ensure this happens.

"It appears increasingly likely these properties will end up as second homes. The question must be asked does Cley really need six more second-home properties."

Another added: "The aspiration to help first time buyers purchase these houses does not seem to be supported in reality.
