West Norfolk Council has agreed permission in principle for between two and five homes on the site at Northwold, near Thetford.

Locals opposed proposals to demolish the existing bungalow on the site off Methwold Road and develop land to the side and rear.

One posted on the council's planning portal. They said: "Do we have to be like sheep to the slaughter and have to put up with yet more houses built around the outskirts of Northwold with yet more bricks and mortar replacing the natural environment?
