Villagers object to dog walking site plans over noise and smell concerns

Mr and Mrs Self had applied to change the use of an agricultural field on land near Hall Road in Martham.

Their bid "proposed that the site would be used for dog owners to walk their dogs on" because "some dogs are unsuitable for open dog walking because of their breed or non-compliance with the Dangerous Dogs Act".

Plans showed that the field's perimeter would be "fully fenced with a 1.8m security fence" and would open at 7am and close at 5pm.

They also outlined that only two people and a maximum of four dogs would be allowed on the site at any time.

But the bid was refused by Great Yarmouth Borough Council, which said "the proposal would have a........
