James Bensly, cabinet leader for environment and waste at Norfolk County Council and Great Yarmouth Borough Councillor for Hemsby, was seated next to British actor and television presenter Joe Swash as they travelled with Ryan Air to sunny Spain.

Mr Bensly was joined by friends who opted for a trip to the "New York of the Mediterranean" instead of the Cheltenham Festival itself because they found it to be better value.
