A Freedom of Information request made to Great Yarmouth Borough Council has revealed it supported its tenants in dealing with pest control treatment 40 times between January 2024 and this January.

It sends out what it called "pest control operatives" to treat "infestation issues".

The council said: "Tenants are supported to eradicate the root cause if as and where an obvious root cause is present (for example, feeding the birds, untidy garden, hoarding etc)."

That support was provided 40 times in that period.
