And in Great Yarmouth this is certainly the case after Norfolk County Council admitted a blunder involving some yellow paint and drains.

For three weeks contractors resurfaced and re-painted double yellow lines along Boundary Road near the Southtown Road junction.

However the workmen appeared to get a bit carried away and painted yellow lines over drains.

Donna Holland, who lives on the street, has described their overall work as "shoddy" and "messy" and has sent in an official complaint to the council.
