Travellers had arrived at Southtown Common on Friday, April 4 and eventually left after six nights on the land after Great Yarmouth Borough Council (GYBC) served them a notice to leave the land order.

The arrival of the 15 caravans had forced Shrublands FC, which uses pitches on the Suffolk Road common, to cancel dozens of planned football fixtures.
