The Grade II-listed building beside Acle Bridge on the River Bure has deteriorated to the point where repair is no longer considered feasible, according to the Broads Authority.

Plans would see the former Dunes River Café replaced with a replica chalet on higher, more robust foundations, allowing it to reopen as a café in the future.

Officials say the loss of the original building, which dates back to the 1920s, is "inevitable" and that repair works are not feasible.
