Historic Norfolk estate changes hands for first time in nearly 300 years
Mannington Hall, a moated 15th-century manor near Itteringham, has been passed from the Walpole family to new custodians, the Ellis family, who also recently acquired the neighbouring Wolterton Estate.
A spokeswoman for the Mannington Estate said: “After many decades of hard work and dedication alongside her late husband, Rt Honourable The Lord Walpole, Lady Walpole has taken the difficult decision to retire from the day-to-day running of the Mannington Estate.
