Barratt David Wilson Homes Anglia submitted their plans to build 118 homes and a 60-bed care home in Cromer in April after purchasing the 6.4-hectare site from Gladman Developments.

Public records show the £6,046,400 sale took place last September.

Located between Overstrand and Northrepps roads, opposite Royal Cromer Golf Club, a recent amendment could see the care home expanded to enable the “optimum level of elderly care.”

Since 2023, the plans have received 56 objections from members of the public.
