Energy supplier will keep pensioner's power on (for now) as £24k bill faces new probe
Lin Lawler, 70, was left fearing bankruptcy after SmartestEnergy demanded she repay the bill at a rate of more than £2,000 a week for her holiday lets in Hainford.
Miss Lawler owns the five-bed Grange Farmhouse and a one-bedroom annex, which she rents out for around 100 days a year.
