OWGP has awarded a total of £1.2 million in the second round of its Manufacturing Facility Support Programme (MFSP), which accelerates investment in offshore wind manufacturing facilities.

PPI Engineering Ltd, based at St Andrews Business Park in Norwich, will use the funding to establish a manufacturing and repair facility dedicated to turbine generators and associated electrical equipment for the offshore wind sector.

The facility will focus on the production of critical components and the delivery of advanced repair and repowering services to address generator obsolescence and reliability issues.
