Energy sector sees wave of new hires and promotions

North Star, a service operations vessel (SOV) owner-operator with a base in Lowestoft, has bolstered its C-suite with three new appointments.
Duncan Palmer has joined as the company’s first chief human resources officer (CHRO), bringing 24 years’ experience in people strategy across global industries, including senior roles at Sodexo, Prosafe and Petrofac.
Joanna Lang has been promoted to chief legal and compliance officer (CLCO). In her expanded role, Joanna’s remit spans shipbuilding contracts, vessel chartering, supply agreements and corporate governance.
Kenneth Coughlan has been appointed chief technology officer (CTO), succeeding James Bradford following his retirement and guiding North Star’s drive towards a lower-emissions fleet by 2045.
