James Groves, managing director of category sponsor Indigo Swan, said: “We are hoping to see evidence of the sustainable initiatives in the businesses entering and how they implement them.

“Not only would it be good to see what they are doing in their own workplace, but also if they are doing anything in the wider business community.”

Mr Groves said the award is an opportunity for entrants to assess their current sustainability initiatives.

“As we head towards 2030, many businesses will have their own agendas and targets, so it’s a great way to get organised and see what areas need improving.”
